Classic Stories Run Time: 00:02:24

About this Episode

In the 1960’s International Harvester was experimenting with using turbine engines in their tractors. This tractor was the only one built using a Titan T62T gas turbine engine built by the Solar Aircraft Company (owned By IH) and paired it with the International Harvester developed hydrostatic transmission. This resulted in a tractor that ran at 57,000 RPM and produced 85 horse power while only weighing 90 pounds! Watch the entire history of this tractor from one of the engineers who worked on the project! Visit http://classictractorstv.com/about/ today to learn more about Classic Tractor Fever!
