In 1969 John Deere tired a new marketing gimmick to entice women to purchase their popular 110 garden tractors. The company thought by giving the buyer a variety of different color choices instead of just John Deere green would generate more sales. Ultimately this failed with the “Patio” series were only produced for 3 years.
