No One Picks Cotton Like This Anymore!

Classic Stories Run Time: 00:06:42

About this Episode

Edgar Edens of North Carolina comes from a family of cotton farmers, dating back to his grandfather who farmed during the Great Depression. Edgar owns and operates his own cotton operation including his own cotton gin. Edgar shares the story of his vintage cotton picker, a 1961 International Harvester Model 314 mounted on an International Harvester 504 Diesel Tractor. When Edgar bought the picker, it had just 800 original hours. He did a full restoration and now uses the tractor once a year to pick cotton on his farm for friends and family.
