About this Episode
The Fageol Tractor is instantly recognizable by its unique rear steel wheels and sheet metal hood. It was built by the Fageol Motor Company of Oakland, California from about 1918 to 1924 and was designed specifically for use in orchards. The 9-12 model used a Lycoming 4-cylinder, 3-1/2 inch by 5 inch engine with Tillotson carburetor and Dixie magneto. Back in 1922 this tractor would have cost you about $1,525 US dollars or about $22,700 US dollars in 2019.
Kurt Aumann shares the story of this unique Fageol Tractor in remarkable original condition which sold on 2018 Aumann Vintage Power Pre-30 Auction. Click HERE to learn more.
