About this Episode

In the 1960’s International Harvester was experimenting with using turbine engines in their tractors. This tractor was the only one built using a Titan T62T gas turbine engine built by the Solar Aircraft Company (owned By IH) and paired it with the International Harvester developed hydrostatic transmission. This resulted in a tractor that ran at 57,000 RPM and produced 85 horse power while only weighing 90 pounds!
