Classic Stories Run Time: 00:06:17

About this Episode

Classic Tractor Fever Host Brian Baxter met up with Dean Green who shared the story on his 1949 Allis-Chalmers WF Tractor. Dean farmed with Allis-Chalmers tractors for decades starting with a WD45, then a D19, and finally a 190XT. The Allis-Chalmers WF was the standard tread version of the WC (row crop) tractor. The tractor was built from 1938 until 1951. It has an Allis-Chalmers 4-cylinder, 201 cubic-inch engine that can do 22 horsepower on the PTO. Back in 1951 this tractor would have cost you $1,340 US dollars or about $13,279 US dollars in 2019.
