Don Russell from Iowas found a uniquely painted John Deere and didn’t know what to think. His research found it was ordered by the city of Sanford, North Carolina who wanted it painted white and even paid an extra $300.00 US dollars to have it done at the factory.

The 2240 was in production for 7 years from 1976 to 1982. Its powered by a John Deere 3-cylinder diesel engine that can do 50 horsepower on the PTO and 30 horsepower on the drawbar.
