Classic Stories Run Time: 00:04:49
About this Episode
Monte and Sue Doing own dozens of extraordinary tractors and recently added to more to their collection. They purchased a Norseman Model O and Mole N on the 2016 Aumann Vintage Power Fall Harvest Auction. These tractors were only built in 1949 by a company in Toronto Canada. A total of 44 tractors were built, the Model N or narrow front and the Model O or wide front. Only 2 wide front tractors were built. These tractors are almost identical of the OMC Tractor built in Kansas by the Ostenberg Manufacturing Company at about the same time. The OMC and the Norseman tractors use the same Chrysler 236, 6-cylinder gasoline engine rated at 45 horsepower and have a Dodge truck transmission. The Norseman suffered the fate of one of many tractor manufactures that started up after World War 2. Norseman couldn’t complete with the large tractor manufacturers and stopped production.
